Meet the Team
Dr. Robert Springer
Associate Dentist
Why I love dentistry:
The aspect of dentistry I enjoy the most is getting to know my patients. I hope every time someone walks through the door that they don't just feel like they are walking through a clinic, but somewhere where they feel welcomed and valued. When it comes to providing healthcare, I believe that starts by understanding you so that we can achieve optimal oral health outcomes together.
We all come from different backgrounds and situations; therefore, I foster an environment that is judgement-free. Wheather you are in need of another cleaning, fixing a small cavity, or looking to improve your overall smile, I want my patients to have expectional experiences at the dentist and to have confidence in their smiles. Seeing people happy and smiling brings me joy and happiness.
Education:
I graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2019. I started working as an associate in northern Arizona, where I experienced all four seasons but the luxury of a two hour road trip to the desert. Like many people, the COVID-19 pandemic changed my situation, and I returned home, working as an associate for various clinics around the metro. Now, I am excited to make Isles Dental my dental home and to serve this vibrant community.
There are many facets of dentistry I am passionate about. I have taken numerous continuing education hours in the form of lectures, study clubs, and hands-on training. Some of my main interests include facial cosmetics, such as BOTOX and fillers, and replacing missing teeth with dental implants. In order to provide the best experiences for anyone I see, I stay current with the latest advancements through several organizations, such as SPEAR, the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Personal Life:
I am Minnesotan born and raised! I grew up in Rogers, Minnesota. After high school, I decided to take a break from notorious winters and moved to Thousand Oaks, California, where I completed my undergraduate education in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at California Lutheran University. I currently reside in Minneapolis, where my boyfriend and I enjoy socializing and going out for walks along the Mississippi, Loring Park, Theo Wirth, Cedar Lake, Bde Maka Ska, and of course Lake of the Isles. When the weather is nice, you may find us walking outside with our two orange tabby cats.
Beyond dentistry, I enjoy reading, traveling, watching new shows, going to concerts, and training for triathlons. Ask me about my Ironman endeavors!

Lead Dental Hygienist
I truly love getting to know my patients as individuals and watching their families grow. These relationships are what make my days fun and keep my passion for this profession strong. I strive to make everyone feel comfortable in a place where many people feel uncomfortable. I started working with Dr. Sepi as a Dental Assistant in 1996. In 2001 I completed my Dental Hygiene degree and returned to Isles Dental. I intend to stay here until I retire.
My role at Isles Dental is multi-faceted. I am the Lead Dental Hygienist in the practice, and I also support my other team members when needed. We’re all willing to pitch in to keep everything running smoothly for our patients. As a hygienist, I focus on helping people develop and keep a healthy mouth and smile. While I’m cleaning their teeth, we talk about their home hygiene routine and figure out changes they can make that will keep their smile looking great.
I live in Minneapolis with my husband Matt, daughter Sophia, and our dog, Ruby. Outside of work, I’m all about friends and family.
Julie Grams
Office Administrator
I joined Isles Dental in August 2017, and have over 30 years of experience in dental offices. I was fascinated with the dental field after my experience with orthodontics and braces as a teenager. In college, I started with an accounting degree, then became a dental assistant. A few short years later, after starting a family, I combined my background and pursued my career of dental office administrator. I have experience in many office settings, but a small private practice is my favorite because I get to know and build relationships with my team and with our patients.
As office administrator, I wear many hats. I do a lot of “behind the scenes” work, and I help patients schedule appointments, learn about insurance, or discuss treatment plans. I am always available to help answer any questions that may come up when it comes to dental treatment and care.
Family is important to me. I love working at Isles Dental because it feels like a family. Everyone on our team is willing to be helpful and offer support in any way they can. I consider our patients part of our team, and I love getting to know them and their families. When I am out of the office, I spend as much time as I can outdoors. I like to relax and read, and I enjoy sharing time with my husband and our own family.

Dental Assistant
I graduated as a dental assistant in August of 2017 and started working at Isles Dental in July of 2019. I wanted to be in a career that involved helping other people. I had a lot of dental work done growing up and it made me realize how important it is to educate others about oral hygiene.
